TALK: The Evolution of Violence

About the talk:

Violence is an integral part of many, if not most, stories. Is it also an essential part of us humans? Did we evolve into being violent creatures by design? Does it give us an evolutionary advantage? In this talk we will sit with behavioral scientists and primatologists to dive into the dark parts of our psyche.

Every year, we organize exciting talks with artists of the festival, scientists, and experts in various disciplines. This year, the subjects we have chosen are informed by the theme of the Seer: the dark side of one’ s psyche, seeing the impending future, and pondering what happens behind the veil of death.
