Fer Is On A Deadline

About the show:

As a teenager, Fer first started thinking about death when he realized that everyone is mortal. He had many feelings about it, mostly negative ones. A therapist, who kept forgetting his name, explained to him that he wasn’t afraid of death, but of life.

“— You paralyze yourself with a fear of death, the only problem you can’t solve. So that you don’t have to face the problems you *can* solve. What you fear isn’t death, Federico. What you fear is life.
—My name is Fernando.
—Oh right, Fernando. Sorry.”

Now that the Grim Reaper is showing his face more and more often, seemingly waving at him from every street corner, Fer sets out to find the meaning of a mortal life. In the hope of making Hein, at the very least, have a good laugh.

‘Fer is on a deadline’ is a comedy-storytelling show inspired by a year of pretty bad timing: the death of a friend, a scary diagnosis, and a breakup.

Bio:

Fer Rodil grew up with stories and has never stopped. The Argentine storyteller has over fourteen years of experience in theater and writing, worked as a screenwriter for Amazon Prime, and Disney+, and moved to the Netherlands in 2020.

After professional training at the Mezrab Storytelling School, he performed at Oerol, the Amsterdam Fringe, and the Edinburgh Fringe. ‘Fer is on a Deadline’ is a production by Mezrab | House of Creation, the first production house in the Netherlands for storytelling as a performing art. House of Creation offers makers artistic guidance, production support, and a network of theaters and festivals for the creation of their performance.

Fer is also the proud winner of the Shark Award at the FinFringe festival for the performance ‘Fer is on a Deadline’.
